Order Repeat Medication Online

How Do I Obtain A Repeat Prescription?

To order online click on the image above.

You will need to be registered to use this service.  Ask the Reception team to register you (please see the separate page 'Online GP Appointment Booking Registration')

See Form Below

Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made by using online ordering as noted above, by placing your request form in the drop box at any time the surgery is open, or in person at any time the surgery is open.

We offer a managed repeats system for dispensing patients which avoids the need to make your next request online or in person.

The Electronic Prescription Transfer system may be used for patients who the practice is not permitted to dispense to.  You will need to nominate a specific pharmacy.

Repeat prescription requests take 72 working hours to process, 3 working days, to process excluding weekends and Bank Holidays.  For example:

Monday – order 10.30am        Collect Thursday after 10.30am

Thursday – order 1.30pm     Collect Tuesday after 3.00pm

Friday – order 3.00pm             Collect Wednesday after 3.00pm

Prescriptions cannot be collected by persons under age 18 years of age unless the prescription is for that individual.

It would be most helpful if all medication for one patient could be ordered together once a month.

The 72 hours notice period for repeat prescription requests made online between 6.00pm to midnight starts from 8.30am on the next working day.

The 72 hours notice period for repeat prescription requests made online between midnight and 8.30am starts from 8.30am on that day if a working day or from 8.30am on the next working day.

Patients who live more than one mile from a chemist as the crow flies may elect to have their drugs dispensed at the surgery.

The dispensary is open Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays

8.30am-1.00pm & 2.00pm-6.30pm.

Prescription forms or prescription drugs cannot be issued outside of these times.

Extra medication to cover a patients holiday

If you are a permanent UK resident the NHS accepts responsibility for supplying on-going medication for temporary periods abroad of up to three months. Any person whose absence from the UK is longer than three months will have to make arrangements to have their medication prescribed by a practitioner in the country they are visiting.

Patients residing abroad

Patients now residing abroad who holiday in the UK will not be prescribed medication other than that regarded by the clinician as immediately necessary.
