The Dales
Brundall
Norwich
Norfolk NR13 5RP
Tel: (01603) 712255
Open Mon-Fri 8.30-6.30

The practice provides the NHS travel service only and does not provide private medication such as anti-malarial tablets or vaccinations such as Rabies, Yellow Fever and Japanese Encephalitis.

Only vaccinations provided within the NHS will be given.  You will need to source private vaccinations or medication elsewhere.

Please enquire about this service at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to be able to book an appointment and to ensure adequate cover from any vaccinations required.

This service is only available to patients permanently registered at the practice before the commencement of any travel vaccination course.  This is essential so that a full clinical history including vaccinations and immunisations is visible.

The following vaccinations are usually available on the NHS only if clinically required:-

Cholera

Diptheria, polio and tetanus

Hepatitis A   -  regular vaccine shortage

Typhoid

These vaccines are usually free because they protect against diseases thought to represent the greatest risk to public health if they were brought into the country.

The practice does not offer the following private vaccinations (list is illustrative and not exhaustive):-

Rabies

Japanese Encephalitis

Tick borne Encephalitis

Yellow Fever

There is a Travel Health Questionnaire under the 'Travel Forms' tab for you to download.  This form MUST be completed and returned in sufficient time prior to any appointment.

The form can be e-mailed to  brundall.reception@nhs.net

When the form is received by the practice, a nurse will review your itineray and your patient record for any existing vaccinations.

Please telephone the practice two weeks after submitting the form to see if you need to attend for an appointment.

This procedure will reduce the number of unnecessary travel appointments for patients.

If you do not submit a completed form in sufficient time we regret that it is unlikely that we will be able to offer an appointment.

Please note that if you choose to go to a private travel clinic they may charge a fee.

If the private travel clinic advise you to return to the practice to obtain the NHS vaccinations you will require a full travel assessment by one of our practice nurses in a minimum 20 minute appointment. Our travel form must also be completed as noted above.

Travel appointments ARE NOT AVAILABLE at short notice.
